PORTRAITS Hellerau Photography Award 2026

On November 6, the annual exhibition of the international PORTRAITS Hellerau Photography Award 2026 will open in the Motorenhalle at riesa efau. Under this year’s theme, “ESCAPISM,” an international jury selected photographic works from 13 countries. On display are documentary and artistic works exploring themes of retreat, longing, imagination, and the present. The opening at 19:00 will also feature the awards ceremony, including the presentation of the Residency Prize.

From November 19 through December 20, the Residency Prize exhibition will be on view in HELLERAU.

The Residency Prize exhibition is open on all event days at the Festspielhaus Hellerau, one hour before and after each event.
