Batman is in the midst of an existential crisis: exhausted, lost and, above all, replaceable. For doppelgängers are popping up everywhere, all of whom also believe themselves to be Batman. In „Ich bin Batman“, the Dark Knight encounters himself and three performers, each with their own stories. Together, they explore questions of strength and weakness, fear and trust in state institutions. An examination of the Batman myth, its utopian potential and the contradictions of our current political landscape.
