Body. Building. Ground. Everything carries a story within it, and everything has its own rhythm. In her solo piece “GEO”, Tereza Ondrová combines her artistic practice and her 21-year stage career with the history of a place and the geology of the ground beneath her feet. Her body and her repertoire encounter the hidden archives of the landscape. Using a geophone, she makes audible the way in which personal, historical, social and political narratives intertwine. “GEO” is the inaugural solo in a series that continues with “GEO LOCAL”, featuring Dominique Mercy.
Biography
Temporary Collective is a performance-making group formed by dancer Tereza Ondrová and theatre director Petra Tejnorová. As a duo, we bring together creatives from various disciplines to make performances and encounters with the public. Our process grows from dialogue and from whatever challenges us; recent work explores sustainability, loss and geographical narrative, with humour and heart. We are temporary because we hold no fixed beliefs, welcoming change, reinvention and the unknown. Not tied to a permanent space or theatre building, we build our identity on diverse relations, locations and team structures, from long-term projects to short series of actions. Collaborators include Monica Gillette, Sodja Lotker, Markéta Perroud, Daniela Řeháková, Mariana Pecháčková and others.
