Breakdance meets ballet, street style meets contemporary, and hip-hop meets pointe work: the successful dance show “Floor on Fire” by The Saxonz and HELLERAU once again brings together different worlds of dance on one stage.
The focus is on the dancers’ individuality, their virtuosity and their creative spontaneity. What begins as a competition between the different styles evolves over the course of the evening into surprising mixed teams that work together to create new choreographies and forms of expression.
Biography
The Saxonz, founded in 2013, are now one of Germany’s most successful breaking crews. In 2014 and 2015, they won the Battle of the Year, thereby securing the unofficial title of German Champions, which they retained in 2019. In 2023, they were awarded the Dresden City Council’s Sponsorship Prize.
